Meeting Happyslip

I met Happyslip earlier at Mag:net cafe. It was too surreal. It seems like yesterday, I was watching her on YouTube out of supreme boredom, and now, I finally met her. Wee. I hugged her!

I can't forget the words I said to her. Because I lost the ability to think at that time, I suddenly blurted out...
You're inspirational!

And I was like, whaaat? I swear, I looked like a total dork (picture pa lang eh). It all came at the right time; my long and uncut...hair. It just happened that I haven't had my hair cut because I'm too busy with.... stuff at school. I know, a haircut's like, 40 minutes or something, but I'm just too lazy to go despite the tons of work to do. Plus, scheduling at a salon is a bitch. When you finally have the guts to go there, a bitch saleslady says, "Sir, fully booked na po kami". That happened to me once.

Before I get off-track, I would like to mention that the trip was worth the taxi ride (and the PE cut). HappySlip was so kind to everyone, she was smiling even though she had a really bad cough, she was making the crowd laugh, and she said that she was "humbled by the treatment that she is getting in the Philippines". Even though she's very popular and famous, she's still down to Earth. See. This is the essence of being a celebrity.

Majority of the audience were bloggers, so it was really hard to get media. But don't fret, I clamored for media as well. Haha. (See my Multiply)

Sorry I can't give you the blow-by-blow happenings; its just that I have to study. I'm not supposed to blog right now, but this is just too juicy to keep to myself. -_____________- Lame, I know.

[Thanks to Yehey.com for the awesome event--and the free lunch]

So true about the blogger thing. My mom, a blogger, was there! :)

Hmm... I think I saw her, there was a table of Moms with Macbooks, blogging up-to-the-minute. Heehee. Anyway, I think she'll agree that the venue was too small.
